What is the the clock frequency for a Traffic Light System?

I'm simulating a Traffic Light System using different Logic Gates and Chips. Also, I gave a timing for every change. Applying this, what should be the equation for a clock timer?

It might help if you gave the data you are using and any thoughts on how to begin.

Do you know what frequency means? Are you wanting to find the frequency of your traffic light changes or the system clock frequency..?

I'm going to assume you do know what it means, and that this is an embedded problem. In which case, as greg1313 has said, we need more information about the situation.

Yes, I want to find the frequency of your traffic light changes or the system clock frequency.

The system clock frequency will be stated in the documentation somewhere. The frequency of your lights will likely depend on how you have set them up, and what causes them to turn on and turn off. Frequency is the measure of how many times a repeating event occurs in some time interval.

If your traffic light simulation is just set to cycle around the colours, it should be straight forward to find.
