Affine Space

Hello Everybody,

I have seen the subject "Affine Space" in the Graphics Course, but I din not understand anything.
what is simply an "Affine Space and what can be a good example of an application of it?
It would be great if you guys describe it to a Computer Scientist

Thank you

S. Rego

Re: Affine Space

It's Euclidean space without an origin. The only operations that are valid are those that wouldn't change if the origin 'moved'.
