Help break the code sequence

I'm not a math guy and I was given this problem for a contest. Can someone help me or point me in the right direction? Like I said, I'm not a math guy at all.

You have this sequence (1): 2450-9001-1621-0200-4039-6242-04
Which gives you this sequence (2): 3322140318
Which gives the answer as= 1

I have no idea how to even come close to answering this question, but they want to know is what is the new sequence for (1) to get the answer as 2, 5 and 10?

FYI, if you're interested in knowing, the person who gets it right gets a new iPhone.

Please help!!!

Re: Help break the code sequence

Thanks for the help, but this did not give me the right answer. It's too late for the iPhone but if I can still get the answer right, I can get a $75 coupon for a new iPhone so I'm still looking for the answer.
