I Want to Choose a Crypto Group for a Ph.D.

I am interested in studying Cryptography in the not-too-distant future; does anyone have any insight as to what university has an excellent Cryptanalysist or applied crypto group?

I would also like to hear any strategies for someone who's developing a career in INFOSEC to get into this field.

Much obliged .
