Probably he means he graduated from high school, which in India means (IIRC) that he knows most of single-variable calculus, plus some introductory linear algebra (basic matrix operations, row operations, inverses etc.).

Ah ok, I thought that might be the case, wasn't sure though.

So... You feel that the math you know from high school isn't helping you in your engineering degree? Sorry I'm not sure what you're trying to ask really.

So you've finished your engineering degree and don't feel confident with the math topics covered here? GATE 2016 | Gate

Math Focus: Physics, mathematical modelling, numerical and computational solutions
Engineering principles involve a considerable amount of mathematics. One can get by in engineering without being competent in Maths, but if you want to lead the field, maths competency is an absolute necessity.
Thanks from Joppy and MMath

How 'we' do this will require you to do some revision of your old subjects, why we do it will usually depend on the situation.

For example, I want to clear gate.
How should I progress?

i.e. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science.
