Gradient of a curve at a point

SOLVED, PLEASE DISREGARD

how to solve this equation. P(1,5) x-coord:0.9, 0.99, 0.999, 1.001...

lim___ 2x-3-1
x->1 -------- = Gradient of Secant PQ
______ x-1

I think I am missing something when factorising the expressions.
