So I'll just tell you the answer - $y= \frac{2x}{3} - \frac{2}{3}$
 September 23rd, 2013, 11:20 AM #3 Math Team     Joined: Jul 2011 From: North America, 42nd parallel Posts: 3,372 Thanks: 233 Re: Find an equation of the Tangent Line Alternatively , you can use the Point Slope Form to get the equation of the tangent line. $y \ - \ y_1 \= \ m \cdot (x \ - \ x_1)$ Where $\ \ (x_1 \ , \ y_1) \= \ (1 \ , \ 0) \ \$ and $\ \ m \= \ f#39;(1)$ So find the dervivative and substitute x = 1 to calculate m , then you will have everything you need.
