Not to blabber on, here's my situation: When talking about using definite integration to find areas, I'm very familiar with how to find - the area under a curve (i.e. the area between the curve and the x-axis)
the area between two curves
a volume of revolution about one of the axes
And I understand most of these operations can be reduced to a simple formula or algorithm for solving the problem
SO my question is as follows:
[color=#0000BF] - Is it possible to find an area between a curve and the y-axis? [/color][color=#000000]And if yes, what is the formula/algorithm to find the area?[/color]
