Can we compute Cross Sectional Area of all Geometrical shapes? Can a Formula be derived for Cross Sectional Area of Solids? Examples : Cone,Pyramid,Pentagon,Parallelogram,Ellipse ,Parabola etc? Thanks & Regards, Prashant S Akerkar

There's often a simple formula, but I would point out that most of your examples aren't solids.
