stuck on the last part (part b). so far I got 3(2x_5) +24 as my function. I have 3 as the slope.

You've done part a very well. For part b you need to find an equation of a straight line since you know that the slope of the tangent will be 6 = h'(1) but the coefficient b has to be found. This line touches the graph of h at point (1,3), that is the values agree: , in other words Thus
