 May 2nd, 2012, 09:09 AM #1 Newbie   Joined: Apr 2012 Posts: 3 Thanks: 0 A question on binomial series for derivates $\text{Hello, Are the bellow relation correct?}$ $(x\frac{dz}{dx}-y\frac{dz}{dy})^{2}=x^{2}\frac{d^{2}z}{dx^{2}}-2xy\frac{d^{2}z}{dxdy}+y^{2}\frac{d^{2}z}{dx^{2}}$

The square of the first derivative is not equal to the second derivative, while the product of first partials is not equal the the second mixed partial.
