TI30x calculator question

y-3= (1/6)(x-4)
I multiply by (1/6) and got y-3=1/6x - (2/3). I add 3 and my answer came out to be y= (1/6x)+ (7/3).
Im using a TI30x calculator and need help plugging it in. Do I type (-2/3) + 3? It gives me 2.333. I turned it into a fraction and it gives me 2 u 1/3. I would leave the denominator 3 and multiply 3*2 + 1 which would give me 7/3. Is that how I would get my answer from the calculator?

Yes, but you're effectively asking about what you can do, rather than what the calculator can do.
