If you can't understand a detailed video (such as the one I linked to that you've already viewed), which doesn't just infer the answers from nowhere, you are probably not going to understand the corresponding algebra given without any diagram (because if you did have that ability to understand, you would also be able to extract the algebraic argument from the method given in the video; for the most part, the video's diagrams are illustrating the algebra, but not essential to it).

If you prefer not to take my advice, that's okay, but I posted it anyway because there will probably be others who will benefit from it.
