Prerequisites for Differential Geometry applied for Dynamical Systems and Control

I am an Electrical Engineer student and I intend to make a career in the Academic area of Control Theory, which need a lot of study in Nonlinear Systems where Differential Geometry it's used. So, I want to know the prerequisites for study such books like ( I dont have it, so I cannot look in the Preface..)
In summary, I dont want to study (at least for now) Differential Geometry itself with all the basis on Topology and everything else. The application is the priority here.
In case I need to study subjects like Tensor Analysis, what are the prerequisites for this??
I am glad if you help and post some references )
PS: I already studied Linear Algebra again (in a hard way in respect to the course that I taked two years ago ...) and I intend to study Real Analysis and Differential Equations as soon my classes are over.
PS2: I am sorry for the grammar mistakes.
