Is there a function allow placing the curvier portion more on the curve towards yaxis or xaxis and allow gentler or steeper curve?

The function that skeeter just suggested will do that if you adjust the exponents. For a 2tailed curve, use x instead of x, with x ∈ [1, 1].

You saying the exponent within the bracket or outside or both? Also say want 2 1 with 2 on the y axis and 1 on x axis have to change the x value?
