 March 16th, 2012, 12:10 AM #1 Senior Member     Joined: Jan 2012 Posts: 140 Thanks: 2 Langrange's geometrical interpretation Hi, The question is as follows: By Lagrange method interpret the result geometrically if $u=x^{2}+y^{2}+z^{2}$ subject to conditions: $ax^{2}+by^{2}+cz^{2}=1$ and $lx+my+nz=0$. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
