begginer's book

Hello everyone,

Anyone who could suggest a good book where I could comprehend Applied Mathematics? I would be a big help for me. Thanks!

Can you be specific? Applied math is extremely broad... basically, it's math applied to any other field. Bioinformatics? Wind-tunnel research? Election design? CAD/CAM? etc.
