It's unclear how you can "show your work" for true/false questions. Questions 1 4, 11 13, 21 28, 30, 36, and 43 45 are answered correctly. 5. Expressions 6. False 7. True 8. False 9. True 14. Incorrect: instead, 3rd line should be 25 14 and so the final answer should be 11. 15. Incorrect: as in 14, do both multiplications first, then the subtraction. Your final step is also incorrect. 16. Incorrect: the exponentiation should be done first, then the division, and last the subtraction. 17. Incorrect: do the exponentiation, then the multiplication, then the subtraction, then the addition; finally, the division. 18. Incorrect: 9² = 81, not 18. 19. Incorrect: do the exponentiation first, then the multiplications in the numerator, then the subtractions, then the multiplication, then the division. 20. Incomplete: there are two questions and you answered the second correctly after ignoring the first. (Do questions 15 20 again, showing your improved work. Try to find out about order of operations first.) 29. (11) = 11 31. 17 32. 3 + (5) + 9 = 3 5 + 9 = 8 + 9 = 1 (this is mainly working from left to right) 33. Incorrect: evaluate 8 9 from left to right to get 17. 34. The answer is 48. Can you now see why? 35. Your final answer of 1 is correct, but your working is either misleading or incorrect. 37. Incorrect: the answer should be 9. 38. Incorrect: x 2y = 6 (6) = 0. 39 42. At least make an attempt at these. 46. Continue by subtracting 2x from each side.
