1. The rectangular coordinate system is also known as the? Cartesian coordinate system

2.The graph of y=x+3 would form a? v-shape

3. A function is a rule that assigns every number in the range (y) to one unique number
in the domain (x). False

4.The graph of y=x+3 intersects the x-axis at what point? (3, 3)

1. Correct.

2. Incorrect. y = x + 3 is a line. Try graphing it.

3. Correct.

4. Incorrect. The point is (-3, 0). When a line intersects the x-axis y is equal to zero.

5. If f(x) = x^2 + 3x + 4 then 2f(x) = 2(x^2 + 3x + 4) = 2x^2 + 6x + 8.
