Satix is at a flea market. She wants to get the most knives at the lowest price. But she also wants to get at least one of each. The prices of the knives are: $ 4.30, $12.80, $11.50, $7.30, $ 7.50. If she has $50 to spend how much will her change be? Answer: a. $.70 b. $1.10 c. $2.20 d. $4.50 e. $5.00 I thought the the approach to this would be 12.80 11.50 7.50 7.30 4.30 one of each added all together = 43.40 4.30 most for cheapest price 47.70 50.00 to spend 47.70 = 2.30 which is not an option. Maybe I am reading it wrong but how did they get .70 for answer other than the .70 in 47.70? Could the answers be wrong? Appreciate the help

Is that the exact question? If so, as far as I understand it, you have the correct answer and my guess is that c) is supposed to be 2.30 rather than 2.20.

yes, exact question and for the answer it was .70 cents I'm guessing they made a mistake with how the typed the question out. Thanks for the reply.
