confused with math homework! please help!

1.) If m/n=1/3, which of the following must be true?
I. 3m=n
II. m=3n
III. m+1=(n+3)/3
IV. mn=3

(1) I only
(2) I and II only
(3) I and III only
(4) I and IV only

Try using m = 2 and n = 6.

In future it might be helpful if you "cross multiply": IF a/b = c/d, THEN ad = bc etc.
