Is a sphere and cylinder is inside sphere. Cylinder volume is maximum. I have to find how many times is sphere volume bigger than cylinder. Scheme look like this: I know answre 3^1/2 , but I need to know how to solution that !

Hint: The cylinder is maximum when the diameter is equal to the height.

still i have problem ! I know i have to use pythagorose theorem r^2+(2r)^2=R^2 (R  sphere radius, r  cylinder radius) . To move on i have still problems !

Use your knowledge of Euclidean geometry. See the following figure, based upon what I suggested, and a sphere radius of 3, you should see why the given numbers are there. Now you should be able to calculate the volume of each and compare. [attachment=0:1vnkx5md]sphere.jpg[/attachment:1vnkx5md]
