 May 6th, 2009, 12:15 PM #1 Newbie   Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 13 Thanks: 0 sphere and cylinder Is a sphere and cylinder is inside sphere. Cylinder volume is maximum. I have to find how many times is sphere volume bigger than cylinder. Scheme look like this: I know answre 3^1/2 , but I need to know how to solution that !

See the following figure, based upon what I suggested, and a sphere radius of 3, you should see why the given numbers are there. Now you should be able to calculate the volume of each and compare.
