 February 18th, 2009, 11:20 AM #1 Newbie   Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 need formula i am a ticket broker and i need a formula to figure out what price i would have to sell my tickets at to make 30% profit. example i buy tickets for $130 stubhub charges 15% when the tickets are sold. what formula could i use to find out what price to sell these tickets so that after the 15% is taken off the sale i would have made 30% profit? thanks justin  February 18th, 2009, 11:42 AM #2 Global Moderator Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 19,708 Thanks: 1805 Your explanation wasn't completely clear to me. If you increase$130 by 30%, you get $169. How is the 15% cut to a third party relevant? (If you want a price which becomes$169 after deducting 15%, just divide $169 by 0.85 to get$198.82 (approximately).)
