2) Yr 10 Word Problem

Quest 7.
The distance between two towns A and B is 450km. Find x if:
(a) the trip takes x hours at an average speed of 90km/h.
(b) the trip takes (5 1/4)* at an average speed of x km/h.
(c) the trip takes 5 hours, travelling x hours at 110km/h and the remaining time at 60km/h.

Please show the working out because I'm here for learning and not just getting the answer !!

* (5 and a quarter = 5 hours and 45 min. SORRY if I wrote it wrong is my first time typing fractions on internet and it is really different from the work book, SORRY.)

Are you saying that you do not know what "km/hr" means? That's a serious problem! You need to talk to your teacher about this!
