Need help isolating a variable in an equation

I'm having trouble isolating 'x' in this equation:

y=(100x)/(x+16635)

Can anyone help me?

Re: Need help isolating a variable in an equation

Nevermind, think I figured it out, after all.

y=(x*100)(x+16635)

(x*y)+(16635*y)=x*100

y+(16635*yx)=100

16635*yx=100-y

16635*y=(100-y)*x

(16635*y)(100-y)=x

Re: Need help isolating a variable in an equation

OK, but you may have done just a little more than necessary. Not so important here, but good habits pay off in the long run.

y=(x*100)(x+16635)

(x*y)+(16635*y)=x*100

100x-yx = 16635y
(100-y)x = 16635y
x = 16635y/(100-y)
