Hi, I have to hand in an assignment soon and one of its tasks is: "Explain verbally the principle of the elimination algorithm." I don't know what I'm supposed to do I would be grateful if someone could explain this principle to me

Is it related to systems of equations? If so, it means that if you'd have an n+1 equations of n+1 variables, an (n+1)*(n+1) system of equations, you'd apply the technique and find an n*n system of equations. Repeatedly apply it to find all variables; until you have a 1*1 system.
