My Math Forum x variable with 0 exponent and coefficient

 December 8th, 2014, 06:57 PM #1 Newbie   Joined: Dec 2014 From: WA, USA Posts: 2 Thanks: 0 x variable with 0 exponent and coefficient Pre-thanks to whoever uses some of their time to answer my question I have problem 7x to the zero power I am to understand the answer is 1 even though this would appear to go against the order of operations? That I should still look at it as anything to the zero power is 1? And.. if the answer were to be 7 then the problem would instead be (7)x to the zero power? Thank you, David
