x variable with 0 exponent and coefficient

Pre-thanks to whoever uses some of their time to answer my question

I have problem 7x to the zero power

I am to understand the answer is 1 even though this would appear to go against the order of operations? That I should still look at it as anything to the zero power is 1?
And.. if the answer were to be 7 then the problem would instead be (7)x to the zero power?

Thank you,
David

Math Focus: Elementary mathematics and beyond
$$(7x)^0=1,\quad x\ne0$$$$7x^0=7,\quad x\ne0$$

Any real number, excluding zero, is 1 when raised to the zero power.

Math Focus: Mainly analysis and algebra
$$\left. \begin{align*}(7x)^0 = 7^0x^0 &= 1 \\ 7x^0 &= 7\end{align*} \right\rbrace (x \ne 0)$$

Anything (except zero) to the zeroth power is indeed one.
