I can't read enough to see where you are going when you started. Here's some general hints:
$\displaystyle \frac{7}{x - 2} = \frac{3}{x - 2} + 4$

Multiply both sides by x - 2. (We have to be clear here; we cannot let x = 2!)

$\displaystyle 7 = 3 + 4(x - 2)$

Can you finish from here?

Brackets required: 7/(x-2) = 3/(x-2) + 4
Make SURE you understand why.

A way to start:
7/(x-2) - 3/(x-2) = 4
4/(x-2) = 4
continue...
