Thanks skipjack everything makes sense to me now, you made everything so clear.
Can you just tell me why, when you evaluated, you doubled the numerator and denominator? Are you not able to work with 16.5/44=0.375=375/1000=15/40 ?

Either way works. 15/40 = 3/8.
