urgent

If X is normally distributed with mean 40 and standard deviation of 0.8 , find the value of a such that

(1) P ( | X-40 | < a ) = 0.7521


(2) P ( | X-40 ) > a ) = 0.2812

Let Y=(X-40)/0.8. Y is normally distributed with mean 0 and std. dev. 1, which is available in tables.

Your problems are then find a for P(|Y|<0.8a)=0.7521 and find a for P(|Y|>0.8a)=0.2812.
