Find the distance between two skewed lines

I have probably a rather simple question for you guys but I am having trouble understanding it.

Can you show me how to find the minimum distance between the two symmetric lines

(x-1)/4 = (y-5)/-4 = (z+1)/5

(x-2)/8 = (y-4)/-3 = (x-5)/1

Have you learnt about vectors, vector products, etc? If so, see this link.
