Equation weighting

Morning all,

I have a set of data that ranges from 3 to 65. Basically, I need an equation that applied a weighting of between 1.5 to 1 for the numbers in the data range. So at the data range of 3, a number 1.5 is applied, at data range 65, 1 is applied, and at half way 34, 1.25 is applied. etc but an equation that can calculate the number between 1.5 and 1 for any number in the data range.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: Equation weighting

The linear equation is:
weighting = (-number + 189) / 124. Is this what you want?

Re: Equation weighting

How did you get the 189 and 124? Thanks again!
