Newbie Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 1 Thanks: 0  Speed, Time and distance>?
Pete cycles home from school everyday. He cycle uphill at speed of 4km/h, on normal road at 6km/h and downhill at 12km/h. Took him 2hr20mins to cycle home everyday. What is the distance between his school and home? Can someone help mi on this one? thankz

If Pete uses normal roads when cycling home, he cycles 14km in 2hr 20mins. Of course, the distance as the crow flies between his school and home could be considerably less than that.
