divide a parallelogram

ABCD is a parallelogram, please construct two lines (passing through point A).

and divide the area of the parallelogram into three equal parts

Solution: Trisect BC and CD. he points the closest to C are the points we need. connect them with A and you have your 3 equal parts.

D                    U            C
U on CD, V on BC
a = AD = BC, b = AB = CD, u = DU, v = CV

u = 2b/3, v = a/3

The 2 lines are AU and AV (of course)
Triangle ADU = triangle ABV = quadrilateral AVCU
