Inclination of a scatter chart

Hello

I am a programmer. I am writing an application that reads serial data from a machine that checks blood aggregation with specific chemicals.

I have attached an image generated from the software to help explain what I need to do(test.png) [attachment=0:u8vakqhz]test.png[/attachment:u8vakqhz]

I am trying to work out on a scatter/line chart how much the aggregation percentage (Y) inclines over a period of time(X). The time on the X is in seconds. Each second a new percentage is plotted on the Y axis for 1 second intervals over 3 or 5 minutes.

The attached image shows the plots over 300 seconds(5 minutes). If you look at the area circled in RED this box should show the correct amount of incline in percentage per minute.

At the moment, I am subtracting the the last percentage (from the previous second) from the current percentage, to find how much it inclined over the last second. Then add this value to a total. Then divide the total count by the current number of seconds and multiplying by 60.

So, for example, if the following were the results:

Second 0 : Percentage 0
Second 1 : Percentage -2
Second 3 : Percentage 5
Second 4 : Percentage 10
Second 5 : Percentage 15

Using the method described above, this would work out to:

(((-2 - 0) + ( 5 + 2 ) + ( 10 - 5) + ( 15 -10 ) ) / 5 ) * 60;

... but I am not sure this is correct at all.
