2sin(x)cos(x)  (cos(x)  sin(x))(cos(x) + sin(x))

sin(2x)  cos(2x) = 2 sinx cosx cos2x + sin2x

Did you mean 2sin x cos x  cos²x + sin²x? The original wording didn't make it clear whether powers of sin x and cos x would be allowed.
