algebra problem

Rewrite with only sin x and cos x. sin 2x - cos 2x

2sin(x)cos(x) - (cos(x) - sin(x))(cos(x) + sin(x))

sin(2x) - cos(2x) = 2 sinx cosx -cos2x + sin2x

Did you mean 2sin x cos x - cos²x + sin²x?

The original wording didn't make it clear whether powers of sin x and cos x would be allowed.
