 December 11th, 2017, 11:26 AM #1 Newbie   Joined: Dec 2017 From: USA Posts: 6 Thanks: 0 Word problem solve using a system of equations At a concession stand, 100 bottles of water and pretzels were sold for a total of \$250.  December 11th, 2017, 03:16 PM #3 Global Moderator   Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 20,301 Thanks: 1971 It's rather obviously 50 bottles of each. To use a system of equations, I suggest w + p = 100, with a second equation that incorporates the prices.
