Jenny is y² years old and her daughter Allyson is y years old. If jenny lives to the age of 13y, Allyson will be y² years old. How old is Allyson now? (Note: the difference in ages must remain constant) Thanks, I'm struggling on this question

at present $jp = y^2$ $ap = y$ future $jf = 13y$ $af = y^2$ $jpap = jf af$ $y^2 y = 13y y^2$ $2 y^2 14y = 0$ $(2y 14)y = 0$ $2y = 14$ $y = 7$ Allyson is currently $7$ yrs old. Jenny is currently $49$ yrs old. In $42$ yrs Jenny will be $91$ and Allyson will be $49$
