No solution.

x - 2|x| > 2

x - 2 > 2|x|.

If x> 0 then inequality is x- 2x= -x> 2 so that x< -2. That's impossible with x> 0

If x< 0 then inequality is x-(-2x)= 3x> 2 so that x> 2/3. Again, that is impossible with x< 0.

And, of course, 0- 2(0)= 0 is not larger than 2.

There is no x satisfying this inequality.
