You need to do two conversions. Let's start with converting seconds to hours. There are 60 seconds per minute and 60 minutes per hour. So, multiply 60 by 60 and you have 3600 seconds per hour. 1,088 feet per second multiplied by 3600 is 3,916,800 feet per hour. Now convert feet to mile. 1 mile is 5,280 feet. So divide 3,916,800 by 5,280. You are left with 741.82 miles per hour.
