A fellow student has this posted in my uni forum from an old tute and when i tried it i got stumped to and cant figure it out. help please. The problem is we need to simplify the following pic, simplify so less IC's are used or save money or somthing nand.jpg I tried changing it to or gates then expanding out and simplifying from there and when i tried it in micro cap it didnt work. I got it down to ( (BC)' (AC)' )' and it didnt work the same as the above pic Redoing it now i change to or gates and get it to CB+B which is ( (CB)' (B)' )' wrong or right????? or just (CB)'? Then i looked at it again and was wondering if it was like a boolean rule (A+B)(A+C)=A+BC Can this also work with NAND gates, making ( (AB)' (BC)' (A'C)' )' reduce to ( (ABC)' (A'C)' )' somehow? Or can it be when i remove brackets, being they are all ands or multiplying that it = ABBCA'C which would be BC??
