Newbie Joined: Oct 2012 Posts: 20 Thanks: 0  Please for Straight lines
If a,b,c are the first, third and fifth terms of an A.P., then the line ax + by + c =0 represents a family of lines passing through the point _____________; ( a <>0 , b<>0 and c<>0). Please explain method too. Thanks in advance.

The line has equation ax + (a + d)y + a + 2d = 0, which is satisfied by (x, y) = (1, 2).
