This is a bit "meta-mathematical" but it is generally the case that, in applications, the coefficient matrix, A, depends upon the "structure" of the application while B depends upon special conditions. It is not uncommon, in applications, to have many different problems where you have the same "structure", A, but different "special conditions", B. Knowing the inverse of matrix A lets you solve all of those problems quickly.
