Scale on Map

how to solve this question ?

a)what is the actual distance in km represented by 5.4 cm on the map.

b)Two towns 10km and 80m apart. Calculate in cm their distance apart on the map.

c)on the map a lake has an area of 3.6 cm sq. calculate in km square the actual area of the lake.

a map is drawn to a scale of 1:120000

Okay, this means a distance of 1 cm on the map represents an actual distance of 120000 cm = 1.2 km:



a)

b) (see if you can find the result for 80 km using the same method or just multiply this result by 8)

c)
