Develop an equation the the forrm y= cos(x+c) that looks exactly the same as y= sin(x) 2.At the start of your assignment you chose 3 variables a,b,d. Rewrite the Y= asin(bx+d) using the variables (easy as) variables a=2,b=4,d=-3 But how would i start graphing it? What would you do to one to make it overlay the other? June 6th, 2011, 06:25 PM #3 Senior Member   Joined: Apr 2007 Posts: 2,140 Thanks: 0 1. Since cos(-?/2 + x) = sin x, i.e. cos(-?/2 + x) = cos(x - ?/2) = cos(x + -?/2), hence cos(x + -?/2) = sin x. Therefore c = -?/2.
