You are given: Factor the left side, since each term has a common x: =37.80" /> Carry out the indicated addition within the parentheses: =37.80" /> Divide both sides by 1.08 That's probably how you are expected to do it. If I was going to do it, I would get rid of the decimal representations in favor of rational representations. Combine like terms on left side: Multiply though by :
