Completely Stumped on this one..

50 = x-(x*0.1) or "A number minus ten percent equals fifty"..

Anyone else find this hard??

Thanks for the reply - but how did you get from -0.1 to 0.9?

50 = (1)x - (0.1)x

1-0.1 = 0.9

Multiplying 50 = x-(x*0.1) by 10/9 gives 500/9 = (10x - x)/9 = x.
