Also, you will have surely been shown that in class; it is a matter of learning which operation to do first, and that takes practice. I'd find sqrt(2) and subtract 1, then negate that. Then find the inverse cosine [the angle whose cosine has that value]. Add 5 and find the root. You'd likely want the angle in radians, so you'd have to have been sure your calculator was set to that ... It's your own ballpark, really. For the rest, you need a classroom or textbook standard reference, and you should have your own notes to guide you there?
