StatisticsHello :) Can you help me please about the next exercise: In a pastry shop which bakes cheese cakes whose weight with normal distribution. The average of weight is 500 grams and a standard deviation is 10 grams. The pastry shop donates 2.5% of the cakes with the lowest weight. What is the maximum weight of a donated cake? My solution: 2.5% = 0.025 In table of Z, 0.025 = -2.8 https://profile.fcdn.co.il/images/0__05abac541c2160.jpg Therefore, the maximum weight of a donated cake is 472. Right? I'm not sure if I solved correctly, because I didn't understand the explanation of my lecturer about the same subject. Thanks! |

I'm getting a z-value of -1.95996 for p=0.025. check your look up. |
