How to determine a set of data follow a certain distribution

Suppose now I have 100 data, I want to know whether they follow standard Gaussian distribution, how can I do that?

There are a number of tests. The Shapiro-Wilk test is perhaps the most commonly used for testing normality

The opensource stat package R has this test in its basic set of functions
